Technically they should be called High Intensity Discharge lights. But we know them better as bi-xenon headlights after the gas used in their manufacture. Focus on safety They provide a well-focused blue-white light that does its best to turn night into day. But they don't dazzle oncoming traffic thanks to their self-levelling mechanism. This adjusts the headlamps' vertical aim to keep the beam level, automatically compensating for a loaded boot. Bi-Xenons - signifying that both main and dipped beams use HID lamps - incorporate a high-pressure wash to make sure the headlights stay clean.
