The UK Government has announced that there will be a car scrappage scheme, starting from next month and running until March 2010. Customers trading in cars that are more than 10 years old will qualify for discounts of up to £2000. The full details of the scheme are yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to be made up of a £1000 Government grant and £1000 from participating car manufacturers.
