Navigation System

Our RNS CD and DVD-based navigation systems will help you find your way quickly and easily while also letting you listen to your choice of music en route. With clear colour screens and touch-screen operation, they are simple to use and easy to follow. Some systems are voice controlled and you can even choose to watch films on the DVD drive - once your car is stationary. The systems comprise a GPS aerial, a navigation computer and a display. Using constantly updated satellite signals and data from the ABS wheel speed sensors, the computer can plot your route. It uses complete road network data as base information for the navigation computer to calculate the fastest or shortest route to your chosen destination. Dynamic route guidance is made possible by the Traffic Message Channel. This lets the navigation system detect traffic hold-ups automatically and offer an alternative route.
