Tiptronic gear selection™

Tiptronic gear selection™ lets you switch from automatic mode and take charge of gear changes when you want to. Move the lever from Drive into Tiptronic and the gears are arranged one after the other as in a motorcycle or racing car sequential gearbox. Change up by pushing the gear lever forwards, change down by pulling it back. Gear changes can also be made via paddles on the steering wheel. Tiptronic provides the convenience of an automatic and the driving enjoyment and sportiness of a manual gearbox. It puts you in charge, whether it's hanging on to revs for longer for safer overtaking, or holding a lower gear to make full use of engine braking when going down a steep hill.
