The Group's automobile division undergoes restructuring in an attempt to give the brand profile an extra edge. The Volkswagen brand group is home to the Volkswagen passenger-car, the Skoda, Bentley and Bugatti brands and stands for authenticity and reliability. The range of product in this group now caters to all customer segments, spanning everything from the Lupo to the Veyron 16.4. Dynamic, technologically innovative and stylish are the design characteristics attributable to the Group's second brand group, consisting of Audi, SEAT and Lamborghini. The new structure also accommodates the Group's commercial-vehicle section as a stand-alone brand. Each of the brands will continue to celebrate its own character and to operate independently on the market. As part of the strategic restructuring process, Volkswagen set its organisational focus on increasing efficiency, profitability and customer orientation.
