Euro NCAP provides motoring consumers with a realistic and independent assessment of the safety performance of some of the most popular cars sold in Europe. By law, all new car models must pass certain safety tests before they are sold. But legislation provides a minimum statutory standard of safety for new cars; it is the aim of Euro NCAP to encourage manufacturers to exceed these minimum requirements. To find up-to-date ratings please visit the official Euro NCAP website by clicking here.

A Recall is announced because a manufacturer has concerns about any potential 'safety related' defect, due to a feature of design or construction that could pose a risk to the driver, occupants or other road users.
Workshop Campaigns are not safety-related. As technology improves, there may be instances where a manufacturer has developed new components or improvements that will help to enhance the overall performance of your vehicle. The enhancements are applied to your car when you take it to a Volkswagen retailer, normally during routine servicing and repairs. We will not usually write to customers advising them of workshop actions.
If you have any concerns regarding Safety Recalls on your vehicle, please do not hesitate to contact your local Volkswagen Retailer.

Phishing is fraudulent activity where websites or emails are re-created with the intention of obtaining your personal information. These look legitimate but are in fact counterfeit.
Look out for emails/sites that contain:
• Informal or unprofessional wording that doesn’t fit the expected style of a legitimate company.
• Familiar tone with bad spelling and grammar.
• 'There is a secure message waiting for you' - these types work by focusing on giving you a message which leads to you providing personal information as a reaction.
• 'Dear Valued Customer' - phishing emails don’t contain your name or surname as they are usually sent out in bulk.
Never respond to suspicious emails, click on links in such emails or enter personal information on a website before checking you are still on a page linked to a secure, authentic URL.
If you suspect a fraudulent email or website, do not respond or enter any information. If this is a Volkswagen site/email, please contact Customer care on 0800711811.
There is currently fraudulent activity involving an online lottery being sent around. Volkswagen is not involved in a lottery or any other competition informing you of winning money to be claimed online. If you receive an email to say you have won, do not respond. Volkswagen UK will not email you requesting financial or personal details. If you are ever unsure of the authenticity of a website or email, please contact our customer care on 0800 711 811 and we will be happy to help.
We've become aware of an email scam involving counterfeit offers of employment from Volkswagen UK.
If you receive an offer of employment claiming to be from Volkswagen, or another Brand from the Volkswagen Group UK Ltd and haven't been directly applying to and in contact with either our UK Head Office, or one of our dealerships, please DO NOT RESPOND. Volkswagen UK and Volkswagen Group UK Ltd will never request payment for administering a job offer – if you have received a request for payment this is certainly a scam.
