New Polo TV ad is tough, but beautiful
Volkswagen has unveiled the new Polo commercial ‘Last Tango in Compton’, from DDB UK and award winning director Jonathan Glazer (of Guinness Surfer and Sony Paint) from Academy Films. The ad was first shown on 10th November and will be shown until 15th December.
Shot in north London ‘Last Tango in Compton’ stars two of the world’s best Tango dancers – Gasper Godoy, Argentinean Tango World Champion, and partner Manuella Rossi, the world number two. The pair dance a specially choreographed routine overseen by one of the world’s foremost choreographers with a unique, simultaneous set-up of over 20 different camera’s following their every move. The pair dance a sensual and beautiful tango to a tough urban hip-hop track (‘Don’t stop’ by the rapper Roc-c), creating a surprising and stunning contrast.
The ad shows that the Polo is still the tough, reliable car you always knew, but it now has the looks to match – Polo is tough and beautiful. To watch the ad, click here.
