The beginning of a new era: Volkswagen introduces the Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB)
This year, the Volkswagen Group will be introducing the Modular Transverse Matrix – the German acronym is MQB (Modularer Querbaukasten) – for the Volkswagen, Audi, ŠKODA and SEAT brands. The MQB strategy represents a turning point in the design and production of future automobiles with transverse-mounted engines. The Modular Transverse Matrix standardises many vehicle component parameters – across brands and vehicle classes. At the same time, it offers access to new technologies.

New Tiguan raises the game in the compact SUV class
Volkswagen’s revised Tiguan compact SUV has gone on sale with prices starting from £21,085 and rising to £28,020 (RRP OTR). Customers will be able to order a new Tiguan, with the first customer deliveries arriving in the UK in September.

Volkswagen retains top accolade in BIVSA security awards
Volkswagen has once again claimed a number of category titles as well as the overall top accolade for the second consecutive year for the best car manufacturer at the British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards (BIVSA), presented today by Thatcham, the Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre, in Berkshire.

Volkswagen Tiguan delivers vital aid to Blood Bike service
If you thought the National Health Service was responsible for the movement of blood as well as other vital medical fluids, test results and equipment, think again. As although the NHS has a good ‘office hours’ courier service, at evenings and weekends it depends heavily on a band of volunteers, or so-called ‘Blood Bikes’ to make it less reliant on expensive taxis, for example.

Prepare for the big match with Volkswagen's latest Tiguan model

Tiguan tops US IIHS Roof Safety rating
The Tiguan was rated one of the top small SUVs in the American Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) new Roof Strength safety test.
