The advanced 4MOTION system provides the best of both worlds, in normal driving conditions 90 per cent of the engine’s power is delivered to the front wheels, with 10 per cent going to the rear. This results in improved fuel efficiency compared with a permanent four-wheel drive system. As the system senses loss of traction, the Haldex transmission transmits power to the wheels with the most grip; as much as 100 per cent of the engine’s power can transfer to the rear wheels if necessary.
