Lasers have the edge

Volkswagen Touareg has sponsored the Laser SB3 fleet for 5 years. Volkswagen’s support has helped grow the fleet from 32 to 98 competitors at Cowes week. Each competitor receives a Volkswagen branded kite, a kit bag and Volkswagen branded clothing.

The Laser SB3 is a dry, fast and exhilarating three person sportsboat with high freeboard, a modern, easy to control, rig and immense stability to provide top quality, performance one design racing in comfort and without effort.

Tony Castro, chosen by Laser for the SB3 - with his proven success in sport boat design as well as achievements in other keelboat classes worldwide. It was clear from the outset that he shared Lasers vision and passion for the project and the result is a boat that Laser and Tony Castro can truly be proud of.

Through out the year, Volkswagen’s support is evident at each of the events where Laser SB3’s are present. These include: London Boat Show, RYA Dinghy Show, Southampton Boat Show (12th-21st September), Volkswagen Touareg Laser SB3 Grand Prix Series (May/June) Laser SB3 Solent Cup (30-31st August) and the support of Team Touareg.
