How will I know if my vehicle is affected by a Safety Recall?
Volkswagen will issue a letter to the registered owner after requesting owner names and addresses from the DVSA requesting that repair work required is completed at your earliest convenience. Please do not worry, contact your local Volkswagen Retailer to book an appointment and they will carry the work out for you free of charge.
Volkswagen follow the SMMT code of practice for issuing re-calls and we will always work closely with the Vehicle and Operators Service Agency (VOSA) http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/ who are the government agency working for the Department of Transport, responsible for improving the roadworthiness standards of vehicles in the UK.
