The Golf TDI hybrid concept vehicle is revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. The Golf TDI hybrid concept vehicle is capable of achieving 83mpg on the combined cycle and emitting just 89g/km of CO2. While around town the vehicle reverts to purely electric mode to be emission-free. The hybrid is currently a concept vehicle but a version of this vehicle is likely to go into production in the future. The Scirocco is a 3-door coupé small family car undergoing two generations of development between 1974 and 1992 and reintroduced in a third generation in August 2008. Volkswagen officially announced production of a new Scirocco model at the AutoEuropa assembly plant in Palmela, Portugal. The model was unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show. The Scirocco is based on Iroc concept car shown at the Paris Motor Show in 2006. The Passat Estate TSI EcoFuel marks a new era for natural gas-fuelled cars, the Passat is both a 'mean machine' as well as a 'green machine'. It features a 150 PS TSI engine which has been specifically designed to run on natural gas, and consumes no more than 5.2 kilogrammes of gas per 100 kilometres. The Sharan BlueMotion is set to join the Sharan line-up later this year, with impressive fuel consumption and CO2 emissions for a car of this size.
