Anti-Theft Alarm System

Our anti-theft alarm system includes a warning horn, independent of your car's power supply, and a timer-controlled alarm if an unauthorised person tries to open the door. It protects the doors, boot, engine compartment and car interior against unauthorised access. The ultrasonic interior monitor also detects anyone trying to get into the car through a broken window. This can be disabled if, for example, you have to leave a pet in the car for a short time. Locking the car activates the anti-theft alarm, and unlocking deactivates it. Some models also feature tilt sensors as part of their alarm systems. These register changes in the positioning of the car (caused by attempts to tow it away) and trigger an alarm in response. The anti-theft alarm initially sounds the horn for 30 seconds, accompanied by continuous flashing of the hazard warning lights. In cabriolet models the ultrasonic sensors are replaced with microwave sensors that are still effective when the hood is left down.
