We have been at the forefront of modern diesel engine technology for more than a decade. Back in 1996 we launched our then new generation of TDI engines. The move represented a considerable leap forward for diesel technology. The majority of our TDI engines are turbocharged using variable turbine geometry which delivers high boost pressures. An intercooler is also incorporated into the system which lowers the temperature of the hot compressed gas leaving the turbo which enhances power and efficiency. No wonder our TDI engines responsive and fun to drive, as well as being incredibly efficient.
