The variable rear seats in the Tiguan gives the interior a high degree of flexibility.
The rear seat is divided 60:40, providing total flexibility. The outer seats slide independently of each other - the left seat moves together with the central station - and all backrests can be folded down. The sliding rear seats make it possible to vary the length of the interior from 1,598mm up to 1,758mm. In this way, knee space can be increased. In addition, you can adjust the backrest angle to your individual preference over a range of steps between 14 and 30 degrees. Even with the rear seats folded down almost flat to provide maximum stowage space, the floor panel forms a completely flat surface therefore increasing cargo volume.
