The ID. Tiguan builds on the strengths of the best-selling Tiguan and offers premium design, generous space, intuitive controls and innovative technologies. It will succeed the ID.4 and ID.5 models.

The world premiere of the ID. Tiguan will take place in early October 2026.

When can I buy the ID. Tiguan in the UK?

The new ID. Tiguan will arrive in the UK at the beginning of 2027.

Does the ID. Tiguan replace the ID.4 and ID.5?

The new ID. Tiguan will succeed the ID.4 and ID.5 models.

Can I still buy an ID.4 or ID.5?

Currently, you can still buy the ID.4 or the ID.5, but they are only available from stock.

Is the petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid Tiguan still available?

Yes, the new ID. Tiguan will be offered alongside the Tiguan with petrol, diesel and hybrid powertrains.

Why is it called the ID. Tiguan?

Following the ID. Polo and ID. Cross, Volkswagen is continuing its naming strategy with its next model, the new ID. Tiguan. Using the established Tiguan name gives customers a clearer point of reference while building on the model’s established vehicle concept.

The Tiguan is currently the best-selling model worldwide for both the Volkswagen brand and the Volkswagen Group, with over 8.3 million Tiguan vehicles produced. In the past year alone, deliveries of the Tiguan and its sister model, the Tayron, exceeded one million units.
