Simply connect your car and mobile phone – all your apps at a glance
Easily import your favourite apps from your smartphone to the display of your infotainment system so that you always have music, messages, maps or audio books conveniently and clearly available at a glance and can operate everything directly in the vehicle.
Volkswagen offers you two interfaces for this: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto from Google – each with numerous options. Particularly handy feature: certain navigation systems may have a wireless connection option. To avoid any distractions, only certified apps can be used while driving.
Please note: the use of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is made possible by Volkswagen, but Apple and Google decide whether they are available in your country.
Use iPhone and Android apps in the vehicle
CarPlay
Use selected apps from your iPhone on the infotainment system while driving - wirelessly in many vehicles. They operate in the same intuitive way that you’re familiar with from the iPhone. Making phone calls, messaging or listening to music – all just a touch of a button away. If you want, you can also conveniently control a host of functions via voice input. Android Auto
Use selected apps from your smartphone on the infotainment system while driving - wirelessly in many vehicles. They are intuitive and clear to operate.
