The top speed of a Volkswagen Tiguan depends on the engine and trim you choose, with higher‑powered versions naturally offering more performance and efficiency‑focused models prioritising economy. As always, it’s important to drive within local speed limits and to match your speed to road and weather conditions. The Tiguan is engineered to feel secure, stable and reassuring at everyday driving speeds, whether you’re in town or out on the motorway.

For us, transparency is paramount. You'll have full access to a Tiguan’s history before you buy. This includes service records and other key details about the car’s past. Your Retailer will be happy to walk you through everything and answer any questions you might have about a specific vehicle. Knowing a car’s history gives you confidence in your purchase, and we’re committed to making sure you have all the information you need. Find more information about Volkswagen Approved Used.

Our Tiguan engines are designed to deliver strong fuel efficiency for an SUV of its size. Whether you choose a petrol, diesel or hybrid, you’ll find a balance of economy and performance that works for everyday driving, from town trips to longer motorway journeys. The exact MPG will depend on the trim and engine you select, as well as your driving style and conditions. For specific fuel consumption figures for each Tiguan model, please refer to our technical data or chat with a Retailer – they’ll be happy to help you find the most suitable option for your needs.

In the UK, most Volkswagen Tiguan models are taxed at £195 per year. However, certain higher‑spec or performance‑focused versions may be subject to a higher rate depending on their list price and specification. This premium applies to vehicles with a list price over £40,000, including any options you've added. It’s also worth noting that the first‑year tax rate can differ depending on emissions levels. Because tax rates vary based on registration date, specification and individual circumstances, we’d always recommend checking with a Retailer for the exact rate on the specific Tiguan and configuration you’re interested in. They’ll be happy to walk you through all the details. Request a call back from your local retailer.

Boot space in the Volkswagen Tiguan depends on the model and how the seats are set.

• Up to 652 litres with the rear seats slid fully forward
• Up to 1,650 litres with the rear seats folded
• eHybrid plug‑in hybrid: approx. 490–1,486 litres (seats up/down)
