Volkswagen and Walt Disney Animation Studios Team Up for Cinematic Innovation
In a dazzling fusion of automotive innovation and animated storytelling, Volkswagen has teamed up with Walt Disney Animation Studios for the highly anticipated release of Zootropolis 2, hitting cinemas in the UK on 26 November.
At the heart of this collaboration is a playful twist: Volkswagen becomes ‘Wolfswagen’ in the film, a nod to the brand’s hometown of Wolfsburg. Three custom-animated vehicles—modelled on the all-electric ID.3, ID.4, and ID.7 Tourer—make their debut in the bustling animal metropolis of Zootropolis, bringing a spark of real-world tech to the animated adventure.
Christine Wolburg, Chief Brand Officer at Volkswagen, shares:
“Emotional storytelling is what enables Volkswagen to appeal to new customer groups. ‘Zootropolis 2’ shows how important it is to question prejudices and break new ground together in an entertaining way—values that Volkswagen also embodies.”
This isn’t the first time Volkswagen has teamed up with Disney. Previous collaborations include Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi and Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, both part of the ID. Buzz launch.
