With the customer survey, you have the opportunity to provide Volkswagen AG with feedback on your experience with Volkswagen. The surveys help us continuously improve our products, services and processes and align them even more closely with the needs of our customers. Participation is voluntary and your personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
Volkswagen AG, Berliner Ring 2, 38440 Wolfsburg, Germany, (hereinafter referred to as "Volkswagen AG", "we", "us") is the controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the survey in which you wish to participate.
2. Purpose of the data processing, categories of data processed
Our survey is designed to help us analyse and improve our products and services. Information on the processing of your personal data for this purpose and on your rights in this regard can be found in the Volkswagen ID. Privacy Policy. This privacy policy also contains information relating to the processing of your personal data in the context of the survey.
If you take part in the survey, we will process your IP address. This information is processed based on article 6, (1) (b) of the GDPR. The processing of this data is essential for the operation of the website and is necessary to enable you to visit the website. The IP address is processed only while it is technically necessary to be displayed and is not stored permanently. The IP address is not stored anywhere else or actively evaluated for other purposes.
3. Data recipients
Within Volkswagen AG, offices will only be able to access your data if the data is needed to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes.
Data will only be transferred to third parties if necessary for the aforementioned purposes and a legal basis exists. If Volkswagen AG has commissioned service providers such as hosting service providers to process data or provide associated services, the data is transferred on the basis of an order processing agreement as per article 28 of the GDPR or there are professional obligations in place to ensure a sufficient level of data protection. We select our processors with care. They process personal data exclusively for the purposes of fulfilling their responsibilities and are contractually bound by our instructions, have suitable technical and organisational measures for the protection of personal data at their disposal and are regularly monitored by us.
4. Transfer to third countries
Usually, your data will be processed within the EEA (European Economic Area), to which the GDPR applies without restriction. As a globally operating company, it is necessary in exceptional cases to store and process data outside the EU. In individual cases, data may also be passed on to authorities and courts in third countries. Please note that not all third countries have an adequate level of data protection recognised by the European Commission. Unless an adequacy decision has been made by the European Commission, Volkswagen AG will only transfer your data to third countries if permitted in accordance with article 44 – 49 of the GDPR. Insofar as Volkswagen AG relies on appropriate guarantees pursuant to article 46, (2) of the GDPR for the transfer of data to third countries (e.g. standard contractual clauses or binding corporate rules), Volkswagen AG shall take additional technical and/or organisational measures to adequately protect your data, if necessary. Agreements with processors regularly provide for the conclusion of standard contractual clauses of the European Commission to ensure an adequate level of data protection. From us, you can obtain a copy of the specific regulations that have been applied or agreed to ensure the appropriate level of data protection. Please use the information in section 5 for this purpose.
